To maintain the lasting functional capability of a roof tile-covered roof, it is necessary to enable ventilation of the roof tile underside. Ventilation flows from the eaves to the ridge. According to regulations, three elements must be satisfied: 1. provide a ventilation gap of minimum 2 cm from the eaves to the ridge; 2. the air intake cross-section at the eaves should be minimum 0.2% of the horizontal projection of the roof surface; 3. the air outlet cross-section at the ridge height should be minimum 0.05% of the horizontal projection of the roof surface
